Arthur Mills IV formed Mills Management Group in 2017 after reflecting upon his most recent and valuable experiences as Executive Director, Talent Management and Organizational Strategy for Fulton County Schools, the fourth largest school district in Georgia, and realizing the opportunity exists to impact larger numbers of students, teams, communities and organizations.
PEOPLE POWER
Arthur spent over five years developing and implementing a set of award-winning "GO: Growth and Opportunity" people initiatives for Fulton to build a more accountable organizational culture while increasing staff and leadership development capacity. These well designed talent initiatives with multi-sector applicability are dramatically improving student achievement in many of that district's most challenging schools.
STRATEGIC EXECUTION
Prior to his human capital focus with Fulton, Arthur designed and launched the district’s first-ever Project Management Office to oversee the implementation of the organization's strategic plan initiatives, and strengthened its Department of Continuous Improvement's capacity to deliver more global best practice change management counsel.
COMMUNITY COLLABORATION
Mills designed and led a deeply authentic 20-month "Exploring Fulton as a Charter System" community engagement process as a key piece of the district’s efforts to become Georgia's largest charter system in 2012, and later drove development of the school system’s first-ever "Building Our Future" strategic plan.
DEEP AND DIVERSE EXPERIENCE BASE
Prior to his mission-driven education work, Mills spent over fifteen years in challenging strategy and management roles with General Mills, Dell, BNSF Railway, and GE Capital, building a diverse set of international and domestic experiences that continue to guide his work.
